  1. It’s said that people with first rate minds surround themselves with other first rate minds. People with second rate minds surround themselves with third rate minds so they’ll appear the smartest in the room. Obama most definitely does not have a first rate mind but has a first rate ego.

  2. No no no, tsk tsk, you brutes and your lack of sophistication and subtlety. Obama RESET the middle east peace process. Back to a destroyed state.

  3. You’re all barking up the wrong tree here.

Granted, irregardless of whether this blew up the peace talks, Obama stating in the interview that his ongoing silence on the issue is due to not wishing to undermine Kerry’s ongoing delicate negotiations, and then proceeding to break said silence for no reason and also making inflammatory statements during this televised oval office interview while the head of state in question was inbound for a visit, could serve no useful purpose while having significant downside potential. This makes it a fundamentally stupid thing to do.

However, try as we might, we probably can’t pin this one on Obama; here are just some of the refutations the left can deploy in Obama’s defense, and do so with devastating effect.

    # 1, We have no proof, none, that Obama was aware of the interview, or what he said during it.

#2, It fails the “What did the President know and when did he know it?” test. There’s no smoking gun; there’s no proof that Obama approved of, or even had knowledge of, what he said during the interview. He may well have been informed of it by his staff well after it occurred, but that’s not the same thing as if he’d approved it.

#3, We have no evidence whatsoever that Obama was explicitly warned by his aids that what he said during a televised interview might possibly reach the ears of people not in the room.

#4, There is no evidence that Obama’s policies and views are in concurrence with those of his administration, or of the white house. In fact, there are strong indications to the contrary.

#5, There is not only no proof, but not even any indication, that Obama’s words reflect, in any way, Obama’s views or policies. Period!

    1. If I was a journalist, my first question to the White House; “Mr. President, do you know that you are the President?”

  4. There was some drive-by snark on another thread about Mr. Putin fitting into the Republican Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives.

I am not so sure about Mr. Putin, but I would enthusiastically welcome Mr. Netanyahu.

  5. We need to go farther back to find the culprit.

    Mohammed?

    Moses?

    Pharoah-of-the-plagues?

    So many choices.

  6. Obama might not be helping things but if whatever scheme he is working on falls through it wouldn’t be in the least surprising. Even if Obama didn’t make any mistakes, peace in the middle east seems rather unlikely. Heck, even if Obama did work out some sort of deal, peace still wouldn’t be likely because one side is taught from childhood the virtues of exterminating their neighbors.

Israel should start building some Spomes.
