I met him a couple times, but didn’t really know him well. But the man is a propulsion legend.

I knew and worked with — and against — Bob for a great many years at TRW. He was a friend, and an adversary. But I had enormous respect for him, and considered him a mentor in many ways. Thanks, Rand, for acknowledging him. He was one of the greats of propulsion.
It’s interesting how it took so long for his obituary to get published elsewhere. It was published in the Huntsville Times on December 28th.
