Finally, a doctor Julia has never met says he can fit her in… 4 months from now.
They left off the last panel: Julia goes to Canada and gets an appointment the next day.
What Canada are you talking about? Certainly not the Canada I live in, where we have to travel to the USA to get timely treatment.
He means the other Canada, Mexico. There are already a lot of Americans who go to Mexico for dental treatment.
That’s funny. In Canada dentistry is not covered by the Health Act, and everyone pays cash or has a dental plan. Same goes for optometry: you want Lasik, you pay cash (or sign up for a payment plan). There’s no shortage of dentists or optometrists here. However, our best doctors flee to the States (although that may turn around with Obamacare) and there are long waiting lists for any non-emergency surgery.
No, he meant the *other* Canada …. Poland. A single-payer country but every doctor has a private cash-only practice. Not to mention the private hospitals with better equipment than the average hospital in the US. Just a quick flight from NY, Toronto or Chicago. Plus they have good dentists. Everything is neat and clean, no back-alley dentistry.
Does anyone know what Obamacare did to Sandra Fluke’s Georgetown health care plan?
Julia refuses to lie.
Yea, right.
