His proposals have been and will continue to be disastrous for the economy, and for the middle and working class:
Unfortunately, our visionary President knows little of the unintended consequences of legal intervention, so he continues to push hard on policies that fail. But he accuses everyone who disagrees with him of a form of “collective amnesia.” He caricatures them as believing that “we are better off when everybody is left to fend for themselves and play by their own rules.” Both halves of that sentence grossly mischaracterize the opposition.
He’s the king of straw men.
[Update a while later]
“Income inequality,” the biggest lie of all.
[Early afternoon update]
Little wonder that he attracts loyal Eloi such as Baghdad Jim and Sidetrack Bob.
If you never have to deal with economic reality, there is no reason to learn about it. Obama has been well protected from the consequences of his own policies. No matter how badly the policy fails (see Obamacare, The roll out of) it’s not his fault, so why should he change anything? In other words, it’s hard to learn from your mistakes if you don’t make any.
I’ve yet to see any signs of Obama’s alleged intelligence. He’s unable to learn from experience. He may be book-smart, but he obviously read the wrong books.
It is no coincidence that Obama needs to change the topic and protests spring up on the topic Obama speaks about in his speeches. The protesters at Walmart and the others at fast food restaurants don’t work for the stores being protested and are paid for their appearance. Obama is coordinating these efforts with activist groups. Its like OWS redux.
I bet all these protest groups are non-profits too.
