“About to static fire Falcon 9 rocket at Vandenberg Air Force Base” Musk on Twitter ~1935 GMT
Per NSF.com, after two aborts, they achieved hot fire on the third attempt today!
The details are still sketchy, but apparently there were some problems yesterday so they’re going to try another static test Saturday. That pretty well rules out a Sunday launch. Reports are that the Western Test Range is entering a busy phase and it may be 1-2 weeks before SpaceX gets another opportunity to launch.
NSF.com is The Public Health and Safety Organisation. NSF.gov is the National Science Foundation, which seems like a good candidate, but there wasn’t anything worth looking at.
I would love to know where people get their space news, but they always seems to use acronyms or slang, and I am very much so in the dark.
What are some good sites to look at, nowadays?
