  1. Doesn’t this pretty much conclusively show that we are way past the tipping point?

    …and these are the lawyers which are tip of the spear.

    One day they will search the archives and discover that Rand suggested outlawing govt. unions… We all promise to visit you in the re-education camps Rand.

    Since Reagan, they’ve made sure that will never happen again… Dole, McCain, Romney…

    Even Reagan was forced to accept G.H.W. Bush as his VP.

    Even electing any of them, we are still left with the career govt. employees and their unions.

    They laugh at the suggestion of 2nd amendment solutions because they know they can deal with that politically and use local enforcement with military equipment to tamp down any hotspots.

  4. I think the graphing is missing data too, The donations that get reported are the ones that meet the FEC Limits.

    If I donate $2599.99 to my fav candidate, I don’t have to report it. How many people do that you might ask? I know a number of business owners who do that, so I’m betting it goes on ALL the time. So it could be even more money still, going to the Left.

    1. You don’t have to report a donation of that size, but don’t worry; the IRS has records of it, and so does the NSA unless you used cash (they are tracking credit and debit card use). So, the government knows (And the IRS’s recent revelations are proof of how partisan this sort of thing can be, and what they can do with that data – like audit targeting, leaking donor lists, etc.)

      I’ll also add that the D party gets more than half of its funding from lawyers. There’s a reason for that- the lawyers know which side their bread is buttered on.

    2. Which reminds me that govt. can inspect your safe deposit box without a warrant and it’s illegal for the bank to tell it’s customers it happened upon threat of punishment.

  5. As long as we’re fantasizing, I’d make admission to the Bar a disqualification for any elected office, as having lawyers writing laws is a conflict of interest.
