I really do find the shots of the audience quite sickening. Do they not realize how they look? It’s an anti-advertisement for the services they’d like to sell us. They seem utterly unprepared to confront power. I’m thinking: This is something that should be done in private, like masturbation. Then I realize: This is the public show. Imagine what they do in private.
I’m going to try not to. Apparently they have absolutely no self-awareness of how they look to those of us not so smitten.

Nor, I suspect, do they care. We on the outside are not *Of The Bubble* that is Washington DC so who cares what we think? Those inside the bubble clearly didn’t care what we thought of Obamacare during it’s passage (and they lied about what we thought)………
they didn’t care what we thought about their attempt at gun control – and lied about what we thought……..
So as long as they get the kudos from inside the Bubble, they are happy.
What matters is your standing inside the bubble.
Having seen out takes and clips from that yearly idiot fest, with both sides of the aisle in the WH, how is it NOT m@sturbation?!
It’s an event aimed at self stroking, fondling and imagining their lives to be THE best they can be, and making their own egos swell with humorous pride. Isn’t that very definition of m@sturbation? At a minimum it’s fantasizing.
What good is that without your hand in your pocket!?
And now we’re back to m@sturbation IMO. All they have to do to make this event full on, frontal diddling is to an an ‘award’ to some part of the event. Or several, voted on there and then, via smart phone or show of hands or via loudest clapping like the Apollo Theater. They don’t even need 40 or 50 categories like the Oscars, just a few.
