Yeah, I’m about 12 miles west of Newark, and even though the storm is almost 200 miles away the wind is already kicking up, knocking small branches from my trees. I still have power, but I can’t believe that will last long.
Which town? I grew up in Glen Ridge.

I beg your pardon, but hurricanes are all Bush’s fault, according to Obama. In fact, according to Obama, everything is someone else’s fault, and Obama supporters tend to believe it. So your “joke” rings a bit hollow — even sour.

Well, if he’d lowered the sea level and did those other things he promised back in 2008, this wouldn’t be happening.
He who claims credit for the sunshine must accept the blame for the rain.
That includes smoke up arses as well.
I’m directly in the storm’s track (tip of the upper Chesapeake in Maryland), and so far we’ve had just a lot of rain and a little wind. The center is supposed to pass over us at about 2 Tuesday morning, but up to now things haven’t been as wild as the derecho last summer, or even Irene.

You meant hope I’m sure (your fingers do the spelling like mine, eh?) My boss and I went sailing on St. John’s river the day after Gloria. We had the sails reefed and still made about 20 knots that day. Fun fer sure. Innocent times before the twin towers fell.
