President Dunning-Kruger

Barack Obama thought that he had won the debate when he walked off the stage.

With this level of delusion, why would anyone expect him to improve in the next ones?

[Update a few minutes later]

Ace has similar thoughts:

As Monty Python said of one of the Twits of the Year, “He has no idea when he’s losing. He also has no idea when he’s winning. He has no type of sensory awareness whatsoever.” Or words to that effect.

He also cites what I was thinking of, but didn’t take the time to search for:

“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m gonna think I’m a better political director than my political director.”

He’s a proud man, with much to be modest about.

Really, Dems? You really want another four years of this clown?

  1. Michelle knew he lost, that’s why she looked like she was moments away from ripping Romney’s face off.

Obama supporters are just as delusional as Obama, they keep pushing the line that his performance focused on substance. Obama’s performance was devoid of any substance, which is why he did so poorly.

    1. I was just about to make the same point. That picture of her looking so pissed off is likely when she realized that Barack believed he’d won the debate and she was married to an idiot who was going to lose.

      1. The thing is, Obama doesn’t look in that picture like a person who thought he had won. And if she was angry for that reason, then why is it taking Obama so long to acknowledge that maybe he lost that debate badly? You’d think he’d have gotten an earful from her and that should have grounded him quick.

Yes. Eight or twelve, if we could get rid of the 22nd amendment.

I agree that he was beaten Wednesday, but being good at TV debating doesn’t make a good president, or vice versa.

I’d also note that Obama’s polling hasn’t gone down much since the debate, while Romney’s has shot up. For people who hadn’t already made up their minds it wasn’t so much that Obama was terrible, as that Romney was much, much better than they expected.

      Why, Jim?

Obama has been remarkably incompetent (one of the few times that I’d consider it a virtue), deceptive and sociopathic (especially his tendency to use and discard people, demonstrated throughout his adult life), pushes ideology over practical matters (like pushing Obamacare and pursuing environmental issues over economic recovery), ignoring and failing to enforce US law in a variety of areas (particularly, the Fast and Furious scandal, but also his GM/Chrysler antics) and being funded to the tunes of many hundreds of millions of dollars from unknown sources in both the 2008 and 2012.

Even if you don’t care about what he’s doing, who is he? And who’s bankrolling his campaign?

  3. Yes. Eight or twelve, if we could get rid of the 22nd amendment.

Hell, why not President For Life? Let’s just do away with those time-wasting elections.
