It looks like I left the first comment on the new moon blog. Some other people left subsequent comments, and I’m sure commenting will continue, but except for serious space geeks I’m the only one most people will remember because I was first.
So what if my comment was also the shortest one, mostly to see if commenting was possible? It’s still going to be the one folks remember.
Congratulations Geroge, dammit, I had the chance for fame and let it slip away.
George, when are you going to spell your name right?
Darn it! I thought I fixed that yesterday.
My neighbor gave me a new orange kitty cat named Sophia who is not yet trained to stay off the keyboard. She keeps walking all over it while I’m typing and has screwed up several things like that.
Cats are the leading cause of raid wipes.
Paul writes some excellent posts but is intolerant of opposing viewpoints. He makes them disappear. Reminds me of the media.
Paul started this new blog because the comments on his Smithsonian blog had to be turned off. He was posting controversial stuff that attracted lots of comments, and management of those comments was overloading his Smithsonian blog-keepers (once they refused to let him manage them himself, because he was throwing opposing viewpoints away). The lack of comments made it appear that Smithsonian was endorsing his controversial views.
So now he can post his controversial stuff and throw opposing viewpoints away as he pleases. I assume Smithsonian still allows him to post on their site, but with stuff that isn’t controversial policy.
