Morally, there is no difference between government using force to take from some to give to others and three guys in a room forcing the fourth, wealthier guy, to give them his wallet.
That wealthy guy just doesn’t understand democracy… now hand over your wallet.
Without a public educated regarding tyranny we are lost (regardless of who wins this next election.)
All human governments will not only fail but demonstrate their obvious flaws so that no reasonable human would fail to see them. This is why the bible has the theme of God’s kingdom as the only hope. I’ve had a hard time believing we couldn’t come up with a human government that could succeed, but the proof is overwhelming. When it does work, you hope against reality that it will continue to work. Reality always takes over.
American exceptionalism has ended which is not saying that some elements of it can’t reemerge. Yes, I’m in one of my black moods today. Where the hell is Carl Pham? He could always disabuse me of them.
