As a Mormon myself, I can say I never woke up in the morning thanking God that Senator Reid was the public face of my religion.
I don’t understand Reid. Whatever else can be said for or against Mormonism, there always has seemed to be (and maybe “seemed” is the important word) a strong grass-roots strain of anti-statism and individualism among the “Saints.” How did the LDS produce Reid, who, on the level of State0-shtupping, would seem to be on a level with Chris Gerrib and Jim.
Could have been worse. Romney could have been caught on tape wearing his magical underwear.
