  1. And the media thinks Obama’s foreign policy positions are untouchable. Two embasies stormed in one day by the people Obama put in charge and nothing but silence.

    1. C’mon. Obama didn’t put the terrorists in charge. In Egypt, Obama’s role is unclear, but the Egyptian government was not connected to the day’s events. In Libya, Obama assisted the people who turned over power to the current elected government, and that current government was appalled by the more horrific events in Libya.

      1. It was pretty clear as events were unfolding in Libya and Egypt during their revolutions the type of groups that would be taking power and Obama was an active supporter.

The governments of Libya, Egypt, and the USA knew that these Islamist mobs would be protesting and the host countries did little if anything to protect our embassies.

The governments of Egypt and Libya might not have been directly involved in the attacks but they are sympathetic, share an ideology with the groups responsible, and acted in a coalition with these groups during the revolutions.

To Libya’s credit, their PM was quick in condemning the attack and time will tell how sincere he was.

These two events do reflect badly on Obama’s foreign policy. He has been saying AQ is no longer a threat, that they are all but non existent and yet the black flag of AQ was flown in both of these attacks. AQ and its affiliates have been active in all of the Arab Spring revolutions. It emphasizes how out of touch Obama is with the reality of the War on Terror and the Arab Spring.

And for the record, I think McCain is stupid for wanting Obama to arm the rebels in Syria.

        1. Well stated Wodun. So far, there has been a lot of talk. It’s amazing that I can find stories demanding the movie creator be brought to justice, that Romney should apologize, that not all muslims are like those who committed the murder; but not one story that the murderers have been arrested and will be brought to justice. I’d like to see that story.

  2. “Advice to Obama: To stiffen your spine,…”

What make you think he *want’s* to stiffen his spine. His goals are different.

  3. Unite with the near enemy to defeat the far enemy…instead of the other way around? Never happen, completely contrary to the overall strategy.

  4. I do like Reynold’s comment that all our embassies should be equipped with flamethrowers. Or, I’d equip the Marine detachments with either the famous Ma Deuce (Browning M-2 .50 cal machine gun) or miniguns. The moment someone reaches the top of the wall, cut them in half with lead. Lather, rinse and repeat as necessary.

  5. An embassy is American soil. Attacking an embassy is no different from attacking America. Every embassy should have a nuke in the basement. When attacked, we leave with the nuke set to go off.

    1. Ken, consider that the British have threatened to revoke the diplomatic status of Ecuador’s embassy in London because they are harboring Wikileak’s Assange. I’m not making the case for any kind of equivalency, and I’m not picking sides with the Wikileaks case, and I’m not defending the terrorists in Libya — I’m just pointing out that the legal status of an embassy is more complicated than “it is our soil”.

  6. I like Frank J. Flemings idea to create mutant dinosaurs with rocket launchers attached to them. Unleash a few of those into Cairo and give em’ a reason to scream for Allah.
