That’s the rumor about the disposition of Lt. JG Armstrong’s earthly remains.
I think it would be more appropriate to inter him on the moon, but that’s still a little pricey right now.

It wouldn’t be too expensive to cryo-preserve him until SpaceX could arrange a Moon burial however.
Maybe we could put together a kickstarter to have Neil Armstrong’s ashes impacted into the Moon. Say, a few miles from the Apollo 11 landing site.
Wouldn’t cost much more than $35M I expect, although having a SpaceX rocket deliver it would be a little ironic.
Decisions I assume, left to his family.
IIRC Robert Heinlein’s ashes were scattered at sea from a US Navy ship.
In Niven, Pournelle and Flynn’s “Fallen Angels” the protagonists mention a pint of sea water for Mare Imbrium (see Heinlein’s story “Requiem”)on the grounds that at least a few of Heinlein’s atoms would be in it.
So when people next return to the Moon maybe we should carry a second pint for Mare Tranquillitatis.
