Any law has to undergo a trial period of five years where it is applied only to the legislature. If more than 3% violate the proposed law the law dies a quiet death and whoever voted for it has to drag a copy behind them as long as they are in office (literally. Paper copy, in plastic to protect from the elements, attached to the perp with steel shackles. It might make it a bit hard to go to those swanky balls or to go swimming, but nobody forced them to vote for the abomination).
