I remember when “Jack Dunphy” first appeared at nr. He’s a very good writer, and this one is worth the time.
Good article, better dispatcher.
Need more stories of the hero(ine)s and victims; I already know more than I care about the shooter.
As opposed to the calm professionalism of the dispatcher, Feinstein makes a typical leftard response to a reasoned argument…
[Ron] Johnson told Wallace. “And I think that is the truth, that if somebody — a responsible individual — had been carrying a weapon that maybe, maybe it could have prevented some of those deaths, some of those injuries. I mean, that’s just the truth.”
“And maybe you could have had a fire fight and killed many more people,” Feinstein pointed out.
So Diane is saying a single gunman unopposed would kill less people than if he were ducking bullets or being hit by bullets that might disable him??? I bet someone will come up with a chart or statistics to support her idiocy.
Diane’s responds would has the equivalent argumentative weight of saying, “maybe a meteor would take the guy out.” It’s even worse than that. She’s basically saying police make our society less safe because aren’t they, “a responsible individual carrying a weapon?”

Well, yeah, if the CCW holder was also firing randomly into the crowd. But he or she probably wouldn’t be.
The dispatcher, and the fellow dispatcher who helped her off-radio, have been interviewed by the Denver Post:
