The IMAX movie is still going strong after thirty-six years. I first saw it at the Air and Space Museum thirty-four years ago.

Saw it in 1984 on my first trip to the Air and Space Museum, the clips on YouTube still look great. I wonder if they’ve had to restore the film. 36 years of constant play must have faded it some.
IMAX was invented for helicopter shots.
I saw it, I think, on the day of the Challenger tragedy at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
@Dave, not sure of the lifespan of a single print, but no way is it even one year, unless there have been dramatic improvements in film stock that I’m unaware of.
Saw it at the Air and Space in 1983 and every IMAX film I’ve seen since has paled in comparison to that first experience. I don’t think I want to see it again, seeing it fresh couldn’t match the memory of that first viewing.
