Does anyone think that this insanely bigoted spew is worth responding to?
[Afternoon update]
By the way, for those wondering, this is a perfect example of how he got himself banned from the comments section here (one of the very few people that’s happened to). It must be terrible to go around filled with that much rage and hate.
I’d expect nothing less from a creature that advocates throwing “conservatives” into the gulag.
All I have to say is Molon Lave bitches, let’s dance! I will set the fuckking Gulag on fire after I finish skull-fucking what’s left of their canoes that used to be called heads.
If that day ever comes, I will show them what the phrase ‘Butcher’s Bill” means. And by that I mean my Butcher, their Bill.
There are a class of people in this country who possess a tremendously lopided chunk of the discipline, martial skill and mindset to effectively employ it. That class contains few of their fellow travelers.
It would behoove them not to poke that particular Bear with a stick unless they are simply in need of an expedient suicide machine. War is my game, play me at your peril.
Historically speaking, the main thing standing between their eliminationist fantasies and dire reality is their inability to get the army on-board to do the wet-work that 20-something neo-Marxists down at Starbucks won’t do. It is the continually impressive integrity of our men in uniform which prevents that, the integrity of the men Brian Whatsisface hates.
Hmmm…maybe that’s why he hates them so much?
Mark Turner,
I read your diary, and just LOVED IT!!
Respond? I couldn’t even force myself to read the whole thing.
I wasn’t aware that FAA regulatory oversight was nonexistent in Texas. I’m out of state at the moment, though, for my father’s funeral. Did Texas secede in my absence?
And fraud is legal in Texas??? Does anyone, regardless of political persuasion, actually believe that?
Phuc truth. Say whatever it takes to get the “conservatives” into the ovens ASAP…
If they’ve seceded, let me know. I’m grabbing my guns and heading for the Alamo!
My sympathies for your loss.
“The town of Mojave, CA where the airport is located is in a deeply conservative part of the state, which is partly why the region tends to have poorly developed infrastructure, high crime, and not much to do other than get drunk, play with guns, and attend church.”
Wow. Just wow.
He’s probably right. It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that it’s located in the eponymous desert, now could it?
I found it amusingly retarded, and a good example of the blind bigotry, hatred, ignorance, and delusions of California liberals who are destroying their state.
Wow, he needs to take a tranquilizer.
“That’s why California competes with the likes of Japan and Europe, not with other US states – Texas isn’t even in the same league.”
Liberals are completely ruled by their emotions rather than reason and get really upset when confronted with facts so I’ll put forth the following with the hope that he reads this and his head explodes with anger.
California gross state product GSP=$2029.8B up 1.3% in the last year with a population of 38.4M. Per capita GSP=$52,859.38
Texas GSP=$1376.7B up 2.1% in the last year with a population of 25.7M. Per capita GSP=$53,540.85
Not in the same league? Maybe he’s playing a different sport.

Clearly this person thinks that J.R. Ewing is the governor of Texas. His knowledge of Texas and how people do business here seems to come from watching too many episodes of “Dallas.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have finally found the topic on which Rand and Mark agree. Let the streets fill with happy wookies.
You made me spew my coffee you bastich!
Despite the back and forth on the net, I always imagine they get together after hours at conventions and take shots and drink beer into the wee hours.
I think Brian likely got the shit beat out of him daily by the school bullies. I also surmise this George McFly egged his Biffs on and asked for it too.
No, if he’d gotten it beat out of him then he wouldn’t still be so full of it now.
More likely that he was the bully as a child and has no other coping mechanisms than to be a bully now as an “adult.” He bullies out of love for his fellow
humansCalifornians.Aleta, I do hope the name brain swiderski is etched at the top of your: “NFE(not fucking ever) Flying with us!” list.
Actually, I think this shows very clearly the ‘progressive, liberal mindset’. Just read the first couple of sentences and it is clear that he believes that ‘his’ goals are worthy and noble, while all others are silly and trite. That immense hubris is typical of a progressive – the “I know more than you, so shut up and do my bidding”.
The real racists are the libs who want to give and give to the ‘poor minorities’, because those sad folks just can’t get along without MY help.
I’d love to ask him if they (CA) compete with foreign countries on a race to complete and total insolvency, because they are doing a FINE job there.
True, but it is one thing for the mask to slip, a turning point for it to be discarded entirely. It means the successors who ape them won’t even bother to hide their true feelings and will instead seek an honest and final solution to the problem.
Many of Brian’s comments are quite disrespectful to say the least of the people of Texas and he uses few it any facts to back those comments. That being said, some of what he says about California does warrant a response. For example, the tax rates during the Apollo days were much higher, some of that money did go towards investing in the future via infrastructure and education. Now in today’s economy those rates are likely too high but to say what is “correct” requires a lot of detailed knowledge. In my view, extreme liberals and conservatives both seem to miss the point of “balance”. The key is what level of government investment and even regulation is necessary for business to thrive and attract and keep good people. I do not think the answer to that question can be solved via some logic on a blog post but instead by careful economic analysis with lots of data.
Best, Alex
And would probably be as much art as science and would also change over time and place so there is no universal “right” way to do things forever and ever.
I notice that Clark Lindsey has started shutting down comments on certain topics. I’m sure that decision has nothing to do with Brian.
Yes, and in fact he didn’t allow comments on the post where he linked to that piece.
At least he spelled your name right. That’s about all he got right…
Indeed, Clark wants to keep things away from politics and Brian’s posts on this topic are filled with politics over substance. To be fair, a lot of conservative leaning comments have the same issue just on the other side. I do find the Texas vs Cali debate interesting though I would like to see more facts. I can see myself moving to either state and I would like insight from all sides as to which is better. One thing neither side has brought up is property taxes. Contrary to what Brian says, Texas does have a functioning education system and they pay for it with property taxes. Now those vary from county to county and Midland is actually very low. Other counties may not be. I do not know if these taxes are a big deal one way or the other since I am not a home owner and very familiar with these taxes. It is something to think about though.
Best, Alex
I managed to read the whole thing and the comments too. I kept thinking that it was all a straw man of some sort as no intelligent person could possibly go on that long with such nonsense. If that is his true understanding, then I must live in a different world. 10% state income tax on top of all other taxes is a good thing?
LANGUAGE WARNING. APOLOGIES TO R.S.
I’ve lived all over the world, including several endless years in the nicer parts of glorious California, and I can say with authority that I’d rather live a lifetime in a shit-filled rathole underneath the most cockroach-infested public housing project in East Asshole, Texas than waste another hour of my life as a California taxpayer.
I can live anywhere in the world I wish. My properties and businesses are here in Texas. There are good reasons why.
To sum up: Who cares what some communist faggot named “Troubador” thinks about anything?
Not me.
Respectfully,
B Lewis

The interstate rivalry, that is what I took it as, is interesting but very little of it was based in reality and nearly all of it was stereotypes based on religion, ethnicity, and perceived politics.
I live in WA and we like to make fun of people in Oregon and their love of sheep. It’s jocular, it’s not true, and everyone knows this. But reading the comments over at the linked article is scary because, the author wasn’t joking, his readers think this is all true, and people actually believe these stereotypes.
His article was written to the standard used to judge the comments on a blog and if it was an actual comment on a blog would have received replies like, “Someone ate their derpios this morning.” “TLDR” “Can I have some of your crack? You clearly have enough to share.” “Texas called they want their bigotry back.” ect ect ect
Wow. It’s not often that I see a blog post from Bizarro World.
Sadly, it provides further evidence that there are simply irreconcilable differences between people who call themselves Americans. There is less and less common ground.
Those of us on the right believe that we have the right to live our lives as we see fit, keep what we earn, own property, and that the government should generally stay out of our way and leave us alone. Those on the left are convinced that they know better than we do, and have utter contempt for our opinions and our so-called “rights”. They believe that they are entitled to take as much of our wealth as they see fit, to use for their own purposes. They feel free to dictate what kind of light bulbs we are allowed to use, the size of our sodas, and on and on. Any opposition must be stamped out.
I can see no room for compromise. Leftists are beyond reasoning with. The country is going to split up, and we may as well get on with it. The great blog commenter Subotai Bahadur refers to them as TWANLOC: Those Who Are No Longer Our Countrymen.
Split my ass! We didn’t split in 1861, we just duked it out. I say if that is what they want, bring it on! Winner takes all! I believe in what is best in life!
Geez what a baroque text. I lost patience reading it when I got to the second or third paragraph. I guess he must really hate Rand since he spends an inordinate amount of time personally attacking him. Please do not link to crap like this anymore. I enjoy reading articles of people with disparate points of view but not when they are poorly written and utterly devoid of intelligent comments like this.
The trick is that after you can’t read any more to start from the end and go backwards. It is just as disgusting but by the time you reach your threshold you should be almost done and can skim the rest.
The post actually started off ok then took a steep turn into the acrobatic shark tank.
Frankly, I am dissapointed Clark gave his hate the time of day. Rand, I understand since he was personally attacked by the worthless vermin.
Was there a POINT to that article, or, was it just (another) excuse for that boob to spout his usual nonsense? It seems the latter is more likely.
A point Schtumpy? …About the same one I got from a pretty blond Danish girl in 1965, when defending the refusal of the USSR to let Jews leave. They had been educated and nurtured and well-treated, and should not steal away all the resources invested in them to go off to an ally of the US. Yes, …her father turned out to be a leading Danish leftish politician.
These companies could only start by the virtue of the State of California, in Brian’s eyes. They are stealing away the potential that California’s employee’s labors provided them. Thus no description is too vile for thieves of the future, especially when even Brian can hear the rumblings of the real future in the distance, …and it isn’t a high speed train.
