The jobs swoon continues in June. I think that things are likely to get worse as we approach the election, and they won’t improve until business sees that Washington’s war on it is coming to an end.

If one were suspicious, one might suspect that they were under-reporting now so they can over-report in the fall.
If one were suspicious.
It will take more than replacement of the Obama administration to end the war on business.
As the statist chickens come home to roost, I wonder which scapegoat the Left will come up with to blame the resulting economic woes on. Thomas Frank (the Linda Lovelace of State-fellators) has already weighed in with a big article attacking “gold bugs;” and I noticed that several OWS placards calling for a re-instatement of FDR’s ban on private ownership of gold. OWS’ influence may be marginal now, but modern history shows a pattern of what the Leftists canaille in the streets advocating eventually becoming standard-issue “progressive” Democrat talking-points. If Obama gets re-elected, look for gold to shoot through the roof, and “Il Dufe” might very well want the embarrassment of skyrocketing gold prices to go away.
“No! The private sector is doing just fine! *la la la I can’t hear you*”
Of course it is. Didn’t the one just tell us that new job numbers below new job seekers is “a step in the right direction???”
Which brings up a question for recent college grads that voted for Obama… Now that you’ve joined (or tried to join) the real world; are you planning to vote for Obama again? Do you twenty something think new health care taxes that reduce new jobs sends that old thrill up your legs? When does ‘it’s Bushes fault’ start to wear thin?
