She seems to express surprise that humans actually carried diseases prior to animal domestication and civilization. I guess she didn’t get the memo that Jared Diamond’s “Gun Germs and Steel” is largely garbage, or hadn’t made the broader observation that wild animals carry a vast cornucopia of diseases and we wouldn’t have been an exception.
As for the pre-agricultural diet, the food was healthy but the insect and snake bites, broken bones, claw marks, tusk wounds, and stampede tramplings were a major pain! What the paleo diet needed was thick Timberland boots and a good Winchester.
