  1. (In a high falseto voice in imitation of middle-aged British women)

    “Jean-Paul, et-il libre?”

“Oooohh, ‘e ‘as been trying to figure that one out for the past 50 years!”

  2. Sorry Mr Simberg, but merely saying it don’t cut it.

I would only take you seriously if you have sent the Governor a letter explaining why she needed such a training. After all I don’t think She scoops the interwebs that often.

      1. It is easy to write on a blog criticizing people.

If you really want Ms Palin success and provide a constructive criticism, why don’t you contact the person itself ?

Mr Simberg said that ”I have been saying it for 2 years”, but has Ms Palin ever had a chance to listen ? Tell Her, if you really believe it will make her better.

Yes – do you know this because you wrote in a blog criticizing?

Secondly, how do you know he hasn’t contacted Palin about it?

          1. Because if He had so He would had either a) Mentioned it [making him a jerk], or b) never written this post because she would express his frustration to people connected to Palin.

Don’t take me wrong, I enjoy this blog for all the space and humor stuff like you, but if Mr Simberg really care about Sara Palin success He ought to bring this information to her, not just vent it on the internet and then be frustrated that He has done so for 2 years.

          2. It is easy to write on a blog criticizing people.

It is easy to comment on a blog where comments are allowed. I think it a bit more difficult to stand up a blog and attract a steady readership by supplying topics for which people might respond.

        2. You should try cut-n-paste when quoting someone so you would look so silly.
Rand said “…I’ve been saying that for almost four years.”
This is not the same as the two years as you claim to quote him saying.

  3. And yet, if she were to go to a speech coach and learn to speak in a lower tone, people would use before and after sound clips to say she’s a phoney. Perhaps it’s better to just be yourself. There are enough phonies in politics already.

      1. Titus,
are you saying Gore sounds like a phoney? Or that even with a deep voice he sounds like a twit? Or is it that Palin’s ‘bad’ voice is better than Gore’s deep voice?

  4. Just watched her on Fox Sunday with Chris Wallace.

Clearly she has hired a “speech coach”.
The pitch is about the same but she is speaking much better and cutting back on the “aw shucks” stuff. I’m impressed.

  5. I don’t know whether changing her voice was what worked for Maggie Thatcher, but something certainly did. Of course, the situation was different; Britain in the 1970s was so obviously broken.

I seem to remember reports at the time of car stickers in the USA saying “Maggie Thatcher for President”.

  6. The thing with Sarah is you really have to read transcripts to understand the full impact of what she is saying. This is why facebook has been such a friend to her.

Their are references in what she says that indicate she is a voracious reader. Katie Couric is a moron for trying to make the public think otherwise.

It amazes me that people will attack Sarah for getting details wrong (often because she actually has the details right and the public belief is wrong.) The big picture being ignored is she actually takes the time to look into things the idiots throwing mud never bothered to.
