  1. I half expect Donald Trump to announce he is running, after proclaiming at the debate he is sponsoring that all the current Republican candidates are unfit and they are “all fired” 🙂 It would be pure Trump!

  2. Sadly none of them impress me. We will have to hope people vote aginst Obama rather than for a candidate.

  3. All the GOP candidates should have gotten together at a meeting, put aside differences and animosities, and concluded as a group that none of them would attend; none would feed the ego-beast.

That way no one gains an advantage from appearing; Donald Chump would be humiliated and maybe he would shut up.

    Maybe…

  4. Drudge sez that Neither Perry nor Bachmann will attend The Chump’s Follies. Mittens already declined.

So it could very well end up as a Gingrich info-mercial.

Or Newt could have a headache that evening.

  5. Alan West might get some sort of national call. I just wish I knew how to get it started.

    JSS,
and THAT system is getting SSOOOO old!

  6. The problem is that politics has become such a cesspool that good honest citizens loathe to put themselves and their families through the gauntlet of slime that has become a prerequisite for anyone that wishes to run for office. Maybe it is time to start a recruiting campaign where thousands beg an honest hard working business man with a proven leadership credentials to put on the waders for a few years and help us out of this mess. Any suggestions?

  7. Well looks like only Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are going to debate…

Donald Trump debate now just a two-man affair

[[[“People are afraid that I’m going to run as an independent candidate and some of the people that are supposed to be in the debate have expressed that. And I don’t want to give up that option, because it certainly is an option,” he told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.]]]

I wonder which one Donald Trump will hire as his running mate? Or will he just go with Sarah Palin who has been playing his sidekick by encouraging the candidates to go to the debate? After all she does have experience for the job of running for VP.

Yes, time to get some popcorn going, the Republican primaries look to be the best survivor show yet 🙂

  8. If it comes down to it, I’ll vote Gingrich in the primary and hope things remain unsettled enough for a brokered convention and a successful “Draft Palin” movement.
I know that sounds nuts, but so does having a man who fundamentally dislikes our country holding its highest office.

      1. Unfortunately she is making far too much money to consider running. I think she had her full of national elections in 2008.

  9. Looks like Gov. Romney is using trying to use Newt Gingrich’s space views against him. It recalls how tagging Gov. Brown as Gov. Moonbeam for his support for space development was an effective strategy against him in the 1980 primaries.

Romney jabs Gingrich over space ideas

[[[“I saw the speaker had a measure that I read about to put a permanent colony on the moon, to mine rare materials from the moon,” Romney said Friday in an interview with The Des Moines Register editorial board. “I think we’ve got other priorities for our spending before we do that.”

He added: ” (Gingrich) even talked about a series of mirrors that we could put in space that would light our highways. I’ve got better ideas for our resources.”]]]
