This portion caught my eye:
“That the Iranian authorities would try to force him to renounce that faith violates the religious values they claim to defend…”
A lot of folks may scoff at this remark, but it’s accurate. Islam does not impose conversion on conquered infidels. It imposes the jizya.
Good for Obama, let’s hope he doesn’t stop there and will also condemn similar actions in Egypt and Nigeria.
An American president writing a form letter defending christianity and denouncing Iran. How bold.
This does indicate how pathetic our president is and the good heart of those that oppose him. No matter how evil his actions we want to have something good to acknowledge him for. Even if it’s just a form letter.
In this particular case, I am not sure what else he could do but issue a strongly worded letter. There are other countries though, were we have greater influence and it would be nice if he did more than talk.
