I’m starting to believe that Obama is actually more like Marty Feldman in “Young Frankenstein.” Every speech in which he rolls out his latest plan for the economy is the equivalent of Feldman saying “Blucher!!” and the plunging stock market is like the horses whinnying on fright. At which point he gets a devilish grin of delight.
Looked at that way, he’s not so bad. It’s all a goof, and he’s just amusing himself.
Or not.
“Now that he’s president, Obama has actually gone and done it. He’s just proposed a $1.5 trillion tsunami of tax hikes featuring a “Buffett rule” that, although as yet deliberately still fuzzy, clearly includes raising capital-gains taxes.’
Raising taxes on the new millionaires (but isn’t Buffet a billionaire?) which make $200k-250k a year depending on whether you are married or not. Who knew that Buffet really made so much less money than was commonly accepted.
Obama already raised taxes with Obamacare. Very smart move on his part to not have them kick in until after his first term. He knows he would never get a second if they kicked in right away.
