  1. The problem is people forgot what war is and how it’s suppose to be conducted now that winners and losers are not allowed.

    1) Fight until one side wins. War ends.

    2) The conquering nation deports losers to what’s left of their country.

    3) The conquering nation keeps the land they conquered.

    4) You prepare for the next war.

War is simple… give it a chance.

  2. Ken, you’re absolutely right! I think our Hawaiian-born President is hesitating over Japan because he doesn’t want to nuke Tokyo again. But I think it is obvious that a fourth American civil war is coming, and we might as well get it over with. I find the prospect of yet another Pacific States war depressing, but then I think back to the First Japanese Occupation, and I think how much worse it all would be now if McArthur (back when he was a General) had wussed out and allowed Hirohito to live….

  3. If only the last guy who was such an enthusiast for the Ken Anthony win a war, seize the territory, make the losers go away school of international relations hadn’t given it such a bad name.

Things would be simpler, at least until the next war.

  4. I most certainly am not using any illegal substance. In my timeline, the war on drugs went like this:

    1) Fight until one side wins. War ended.

    2) The USA deported everyone who ever used drugs. To North Korea.

    3) The USA kept the land they conquered. Columbia and Afghanistan were both taken into the union as states. Interestingly, Columbia always votes for Democrats, but Afghanistan maintains the balance in the Senate by always voting Republican (well, ok, actually the majority votes for the Theocrats, but Theocratic Senators caucus with the Republicans…)

    4) Needless to say, waging 45 concurrent wars keeps us prepared for future wars.

  5. Bob-1, maybe should should admit to being under some kind of pharmacological influence. Otherwise you sound like a homeless guy ranting from an alleyway.

  6. Ken, my first comment was a substantive answer, even if I was having some fun with it. WWII was our most successful war, and our conduct toward the defeated at the end of the war played a large part in that. Under your scheme, the German and Japanese economic recovery wouldn’t have happened, and the USA would be poorer for it. Any comment?

  7. Your first comment was a substantive answer? Let’s see…

Ken, you’re absolutely right! I think our Hawaiian-born President is hesitating over Japan because he doesn’t want to nuke Tokyo again.

This is a post about Egypt and Israel. The linked article says nothing about WWII and does not mention Obama.

But I think it is obvious that a fourth American civil war is coming, and we might as well get it over with.

You’re doing a terrific job of demonstrating serious reading comprehension problems along with a profound lack of knowledge in US History.

I find the prospect of yet another Pacific States war depressing, but then I think back to the First Japanese Occupation, and I think how much worse it all would be now if McArthur (back when he was a General) had wussed out and allowed Hirohito to live….

    Seriously, dude, get some help.

  8. Ok Bob, I’ll play. You seem to have issue with point three and misunderstand that it isn’t at odds with what we did in the aftermath of WWII.

The conqueror gets the choices. We chose (correctly) to give most of the land back and to provide help to rebuild (also correct as you pointed out.)

But we did make huge mistakes regarding Russia and China… that one is still playing out. Yes, both were allies… then we had the Korean and Cold wars.
