It should be just as socially unacceptable to wear a hammer and sickle, or Mao jacket, or Che tee shirt, as it is to wear a swastika.

Yes, I know the piece is a couple years old. It’s worth reposting, though, given the proximity of the fiftieth anniversary of the Wall being erected.
On a related note, did you see this piece about German leftists refusing to honor a moment of silence for those who died trying to escape East Berlin? A left-wing newspaper even praised the wall for “28 years of keeping the peace in Europe.”

That paper, Junge Welt, according to Wikipedia…
