It’s A Good Thing, Too

The president makes no apologies for being reasonable. Well, he doesn’t apologize for things he’s actually done, either. Similarly, I make no apologies for being a Democrat.

[Update a while later]

Here are some other things for which I am completely unapologetic, from my Twitter feed:

I make no apologies for thinking that Harry Reid is the greatest statesman in history.

I make no apologies for making Paris Hilton famous.

I make no apologies for thinking that the president is reasonable, and the adult in the room.

I make no apologies for the assassination of the only president to have it almost as tough as Barack Obama: Abraham Lincoln.

I make no apologies for being unable to make fun of the president’s arrogance and pomposity.

I make no apologies for kicking Chuck Norris’s ass.

I make no apologies for having voted for Barack Obama.

I make no apologies for causing Hurricane Katrina.

I make no apologies for being Mary Queen of Scots.

  1. And yet he makes plenty of apologies on behalf of all the evil his country has done.

“His” country? Do you mean Kenya or Indonesia?

  2. Saying, “I make no apologies for being reasonable.” sounds way too much like, “I make no apologies for being humble.” It doesn’t pass the laugh test.

  3. Of course President Downgrade dosen’t apologise for ‘being reasonable’. Since he isn’t reasonable, he shouldn’t have to apologise for it.
In the same vein, he shouldn’t have to apologise for being competent, educated in economy or Constitutional law, hardworking, humble, or patriotic.

  4. Obama makes no apologize for his country. He ‘apologizes’ for the actions of others – things he believes he bears no responsibility for. Which is actually nothing more than backhanded criticism for prior government.

Obama has never accepted blame for any errors of his own.

If the timing were different, Obama could’ve been the inspiration for Mack Davis’s old song, “Oh Lord, It’s hard to be Humble”

    Chorus:
Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble
When you’re perfect in every way
I can’t wait to look in the mirror
Cause I get better lookin’ each day
To know me is to love me
I must be a hell of a man
Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble
But I’m doin’ the best that I can!

I used to have a girlfriend
But I guess she just couldn’t compete
With all of these love-starved women
Who keep clamoring at my feet
Well I could probably find me another
But I guess they’re all in awe of me
Who cares? I never get lonesome
Cause I treasure my own company.

    Ohhhhhh…..
    (chorus)

I guess you could say I’m a loner
A cowboy outlaw, tough and proud
Well, I could have lotsa friends if I wanted,
But then I wouldn’t stand out from the crowd
Some folks say that I’m “egotistical”,
Hell, I don’t even know what that means!
I guess it has something to do with the way
That I fill out my skin-tight blue jeans

    Ohhhhhh…..
    (chorus)

  6. Tyrone,
I actually WAS expecting The Spanish Inquisition! But Mary Queen of Scots will do.

And I failed to ask the obvious question earlier. Just WHEN is it that Mr. Obama was reasonable?

  7. Didn’t he say that if the economy didn’t turn around that he would be a one term president? That sounds pretty reasonable.

  8. Obama could say, “I make no apologies for spending more time apologizing for not explaining Obamacare than I did for actually explaining it.”

And “I make no apologies for my personal contributions to the incivility in political expression.”

  9. “I make no apology for marrying Morgan Fairchild.”

Whom I’ve seen NAKED! That’s the ticket!

LOL. Whatever happened to Jon Lovitz?
