Journalism is back:
MSM political leanings and friendships take precedent over news and news coverage — they simply balked at the idea of covering the “Weinergate” scandal. Rather than investigate, they went on the offensive! Surely the story can’t be trusted, since the source was Breitbart. They mocked those who even discussed it.
How many times will they call a story DOA, only to have Breitbart drop one more thing in their lap? How many times will they ignore a story, just to have New Media show how important it is to the future of the republic?
The MSM reacts to New Media in the same manner they have reacted to Sarah Palin’s bus tour. They mock her every step of the way, then have the gall to be infuriated that they — the press! — are not given her itinerary. They complained about being “forced” to relieve themselves on the side of the road, as if Palin forced them to get in their cars and vans and follow her a la The Beatles arriving in America. The MSM believes that they have — and deserve — a monopoly on the stories we read, and when someone doesn’t fall in line with the old guard attitude, they become petulant.
Well, it was a huge vacuum that something had to fill.
It would be worthwhile to dig up the predictions of futurists on the Internet from the 90s. Many were leftists predicting “democratic revolution” or such nonsense because the Word of the Left would be spread far and wide. I wonder if libertarians (Reason?) predicted was has come about?
Breitbart is an incredible guy. He gets under the lefty’s skin like no one else. And, as an added benefit, he runs the pure, unfiltered truth. I hope he keeps doing what he is doing, because he forces the media to cover stories they would not otherwise touch.

To say that Breitbart “runs the pure, unfiltered truth” is a bit of a stretch. There may always be some nugget of truth to his stories, but in most instances he intentionally distorts them (e.g., leaving out half of that woman’s speech about white farmers). For Weiner, he didn’t have to distort anything, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have distorted the story if it turned out to be less sensational on its own.
I’m having a bit of trouble squaring “leaving out half of that woman’s speech” with posting the raw video (which, IIRC, Breitbart seems to do).
Andrew is right. Wappledoo is regurgitating what the media said about that situation. When you look at the facts, Breitbart ran what he had. I am not saying he is not biased. Breitbart is a conservative. He does not lie about that like many liberals in the media try to cover up their bent. At the presser, Breitbart asked the media to point out one lie that he had told in the past. Crickets. . . You know where he stands, and he does not lie.
Even after Congressman Weiner admitted he did it, the MSM is still running articles about hackers, and the evils of TEEN sexting!! That of course leaves OUT the total lack of any calls from the MSM for him to step down. They certainly weren’t shy about hounding Chris Lee earlier this year, were they?

WHY should her speech ENDING matter? So what, she later regretted her original feelings? If this had been a WHITE MALE, having said he felt that way about ANYONE NOT WHITE, there would be NO forgiveness.
I’ve always felt that Breitbart played that out, beginning to end, to show how the system works. That includes her losing her job, then getting an apology from her bosses for their ‘over reacting’. She’s a black woman, we HAVE to feel sorry for her. Again, if the roles had been reversed, NO white male would have ever been able to revive his life.
Look at Trent Lott as an example. No previous acts, nor post comment record nor apology is ever enough, if the questionable act or statement comes from a white guy. Oh, unless he’s a liberal Democrat, that is.
