Senator Graham, the First Amendment isn’t just a good idea. It’s the law and one of the most sacred Constitutional rights. You know, that old parchment that you took an oath to uphold?
[Update Wednesday evening]
Roger Kimball points out a woman who tells Senator Graham what he is, and to stop defending Sharia law. Read and watch the whole thing.

Let’s see –
First, reaching way back up the thread:
“shouting FIRE in a crowded theater”
Speaking as one who has actually shouted FIRE in the equivalent of a crowded theater and been subsequently thanked for it, I believe the quote is really “falsely shouting fire”. Every reference to this quote I’ve seen in the last few days has had it wrong.
Second (but more perversely): AFIAK a translation of the Koran is not an actual Koran. Only the original words in the original language count.
So: how offended should we expect a believer to become, over mere words in English read from some book? Ditto regarding burning such a book.
Yes, that’s the unwritten, but universally understood, assumption.
Assume the koran is the actual words of god. In reality it could only be a written copy of the words rather than the utterance itself. So in this delusional world I will now mentally burn a koran. That was fun. Let’s all burn another. I’m now mentally stacking piles of koran’s under the launch pad of a falcon heavy…
Speech that doesn’t offend needs no protection. Everyone that cheered when the twin towers went down I would like to offend to death. PissBUH.
