An article that the WaPo spiked because it describes the difference between Christianity and Islam. Hiding or ignoring the truth doesn’t make it go away.

I bet the guy who spiked that story has (or at least has considered getting) one of those dumb “Coexist” bumper stickers using a bunch of religious icons as letters.
Only people who fundamentally do not understand what religion is (and this includes many people who claim to have one) would think that peaceable “Coexistance” is possible between all religions (particularly Islam). Well, those guys and also the Semiotic Assassins of the Church of Universal Socialism, intent on destroying all of the other churches with Gramiscian Damage, of course.
He puts the righteous and the wicked to the test; he hates those loving violence.
Mo and his followers fail.
“…when we Christians feel offended, almost never do we become violent, and almost always we suffer the disrespect in silence…”
AND, what he failed to say was…when some nut, or leader of a group of nuts (Jim Jones, David Koresh, Eric Robert Rudolph, et al) claiming to be a Christian JUMPS off the band wagon and begins to act out, speak crazily or commit violent acts, Christians stand up and DENOUNCE them OPENLY.
On the other hand when (radical) Muslims commit acts of violence, DAILY, against any and all of the worlds people, including members of their own religion, we almost never hear from Muslims of ANY bent, they never even speak up to mention the event.
Are you kidding? I hear them from all time. I hear them cheering the murderers on. Remember the impromtu street parades in Palestine on 9/11? Remember the countless, daily apologies for and defenses of their actions from imams and Islamic media and leaders?
Any time I feel a softening towards Muslims, even a little, all I have to do is remember the ebulient crowds of celebrations throughout the Muslim world on 9/11. On that day, for certain, I knew their quality.
Those few Muslim-Americans who serve loyally in our military are just too few in number to really matter. American Muslims are such a small minority within the larger Ummah as to be a rounding error. And some of them are bad guys too, as Times Square and Seattle prove.
On the other hand, the Muslim populations in nations like India, Malaysia and Indonesia don’t seem to bear Americans any particular ill will (worse than American Muslims, at any rate). So it appears to be an Middle East and Central Asian thing, rather than a strictly Muslim thing.
