It’s not a freeze. They simply are not going to give them COLA raises each year, which haven’t amounted to much anyway. Even if it was substantial the employee can still be given a grade pay raise or a level pay raise.
Interestingly, at least one agency with which I’m familiar does pay it’s people on a performance basis. It seems to work fairly well, too.
Disband the TSA. That should save a penny or two.
Cut “entitlements”, cut them big time. And before anyone calls me heartless, I’m a recipient myself, disability. But I am FULLY aware that everybody getting a gub’ment check is either going to have to take a reduction, or the checks will disappear completely at some point.
The only way to make any serious reduction in the federal payroll is to reduce the existing laws that require the government to do so many things.
No federal elected officials pay should be any more than the national median pay.
