Writing about the future was rare but it did exist. There are probably more writers alive today than all of history and they have other writers to provide examples of styles of writing.
Imagine how quaint today may seem to someone 100 years from now (and will we have BEO settlements at least started by then?)
It just occurred to me, with the high unemployment, this could provide time for more writers… given the bell curve a few outliers may become famous and will owe it to Obama destroying the economy.
