I didn’t see mention of the disaster prop25 in that article. The inmates not only run the asylum, they’ve been given all the keys to the place.
They already had 62% of the vote. Now passing the budget is automatic, beforehand they only had to peel off a few republicans.
The San Jose Mercury News, of course, recommended passing 25, because they believe in majority rule. Funny that they don’t seem to have heard of the tyranny of the majority.
I just sent the townhall version (which doesn’t have the annoying popup) to my exwife who lives in Sacramento (a relatively conservative city not counting politicians) and works for the state.

I kept telling people on another site I frequent, that while Meg Whiteman might very well not be able to prevent California from going off the cliff, at least she wouldn’t do as Brown would and lead the way yelling “Cowabunga!”
It got to the point where all I had to do was post the word “Cowabunga” in a comment and the “ain’t never gonna vote for Meg” types would go into convulsions.

Jerry Brown was one of the best governors California ever had. And its going to take someone who can think outside the box to fix the problems that both the Republicans and Democrats have caused.
