I am so looking forward to the first Wednesday of November.
Washington State has 99.8% mail in balloting, and ballots must be postmarked by the first Tuesday of November…. We aren’t going to have half of our ballots counted before Thursday. Maybe Friday.
Great vid; glad you posted it. I think the Obama “hard turn left” administration has been a disaster.
But we do all need to be careful what we wish for. The economy will have a very tough slog ahead for a couple of decades as we unwind the excessive credit-induced liquidity of the past 40 years. This was done by Administrations and Congresses elected by both parties. Ultimately, there will be a Great Repudiation of promises that should never have been made, and were fiscally irresponsible, by both parties.
It may very well be that the relatively more conservative and more libertarian turn of this Congress will get blamed for the coming economic downturn and breaking of promises. There is no sign the the electorate as a whole has grown up to be the adults necessary to “keep a republic.” If the electorate is demogogued in a future election by a statist politician who wants to get 51% of the populace to “take” from “the rich”, ala Hugo Chavez, I am not at all confident the American people won’t go along. I hope I am wrong.
