Space fashion weightless supermodel. I suspect she’ll be showing it off at next week’s Space Frontier Society conference in Mountain View.

Uh, look closely at one of the zero-G pictures towards the bottom. Simply breastaking! Heh.
I like the wrist cuffs. Are they high friction?
Will someone PLEASE explain to me, the appeal of young women in need of a decent meal!?
Just WTH is sexy, alluring or appealing about a woman’s collar bone or her ribs? Many women who used to be considered “it” would starve to death trying to work in print or Hollyweird today. Almost any actress or model from 1975 back would be considered “fat” by these standards. The ONLY conclusion I can come to is that these babes appeal to the (gay) art directors and fashion industry moguls, and have been pushed on us as HOT.
Otherwise I don’t understand sex appeal as it applies to women who look like 15 y/o, thin wasted boys!
I’m no Jane Fonda fan, but looking back to her roundness during her exercise videos, compared to sexy NOW, Hanoi Jane she was down right PORKY.
And what about Marilyn Monroe? She’d be considered obese. That’s just stupid.
Sometimes I tune in the Spanish channels just to see what real women are supposed to look like. Evidently Spanish speaking men STILL appreciate curves, breasts and well covered ribs and collar bones.
I have to agree with Der Schtumpy. For a downblouse shot, not all that exciting when there are no curves in the blouse. The outfit looks less Amelia Earhart and more Dancing with Wolves, and Amelia Earharts wasn’t exactly known for her looks.
Get yer mind outa the gutter, phil. 🙂 Then look at the shot again. She’s decently covered.
As for Der Schtumpy, she’s not skinny, she’s athletic. Did a little googling (what’s a weightless supermodel, anyway?) and I found this:
Now I’m no skinny-lover; in my book Christina Hendricks is a work of art; but I prefer to accept women as they are, instead of forcing them into one size (or appearance) fits all.
It’s nice that we’ve gotten to the point where zero-G fashion isn’t greeted with ridicule. The outfit reminds me in certain respects of the old 1950s TV serial uniforms, like Tom Corbett’s; flared shoulders, dramatic Vee on the chest, loose pants.
I hope Schtumpy will forgive me in saying that Ms. Kennick looks much more fetching than Astro ever did. 🙂
Women are not so constrained by childbirth anymore; also, sexual dimorphism is no longer particularly desirable in this modern era of feminism and equality between the sexes.
The world has changed and it is perhaps now more optimal for women and men to be more alike in physical attributes like body mass, height, physical strength, and so forth. Indeed, a desire for the more classical female body types might almost be considered as indicative of latent misogyny and a desire for female submissiveness.
Without sexual dimorphism anorexic women would be as attractive as anorexic men…
…And here comes Pete to prove Schtumpy’s point.
Pete, just in case you never noticed, men & women are naturally different. this includes height, center of mass, and body fat. Whoops, almost forgot: boobs! Women have ’em, and (normal) men don’t.
…Still trying to figure out if Pete is gay, asexual/metrosexual, or just funnin’ us…
Just to be clear, Kennick isn’t really a model; she’s a space enthusiast. Are you going to judge Aleta Jackson or Cariann Higginbotham because they’re not beautiful enough by your standards? Well, maybe you will – people judge Gwynne Shotwell on her beauty.
Der Schtumpy, Marilyn Monroe was a glamour model – she sold sex to men. Fashion models sell clothing to women. It’s understandable that what women find attractive is different than what men do.
I find something attractive about almost all women I meet.

You’ll also see that I’m neither anorexic nor 15. Nor a supermodel! Just someone who REALLY wants to travel into Space! http://www.spacefrontierfoundation.org
