Or rather, opacity. The Department of (In)Justice is being sued to release the New Black Panther documents. As the article notes, if the Republicans take over one or both houses in November, they’ll have a lot tougher time stonewalling next year.

Holder is running out of room to hide
but apparently has five more months to cause mischief.
Or, if and when the Republicans win in November, they could just DO THE DAMNED JOB, be open and transparent, AND QUIT ALL THE PARTISAN BS!!!
That would do two things, save the country and make the libs look even worse. But that’s just one man’s opinion.
If the Republicans wins, great. But those of us who oppose the Democrats’ agenda would be prudent to consider what to do if the Democrats hold Congress. Intrade still gives the Democrats favorable odds, and if the economy continues to improve the Democrats will benefit politically.
Jonathan,
if the Dems retain control, the “prudent” thing to do will be a swift move to another country!! And it needs to be a move to somewhere that has more freedom and security left than we’ll have here. I’ve started a list.
Libya
Rwanda
North Korea
Venezuela
Columbia
Sudan
In those places there is the potential for retaking the government and straightening things out. If the American voters let the Democrats stay in power after all they’ve done, it will prove to me that they are too stupid, lazy and fat for a revolution to happen! And that means revolution in the voting sense too.
Real Clear Politics has a map of all the seats in the House that are currently “in play” (likely or leans Dem, Likely or leads GOP, tossup) and right now if the GOP get everything in the likely or leads GOP and half the tossups, they get the House back. That’s a very realistic scenario. Sure it’s early but the trend is going in that direction with no end in site.
The Senate is dicier, the RCP map has GOP adding enough to get to 46, and if everything goes their way they could get to 49, but they need 51 (Biden breaks ties). Again still early, but while there’s time for improvement, a lot still has to go right because they’re starting from so far down.
“and if the economy continues to improve the Democrats will benefit politically.”
And if we head into a double-dip recession, which is looking more and more likely every day, they will be totally shellaced.
Decouple yourself as much as possible from the federal government. I wouldn’t go so far as Schtumpy and leave the nation — if liberty can make it anywhere, it will be here.
The percentage of morons and the media leads to a lot of gloom.
