You know, if there’s anyone whose lectures on immigration I’m less interested in than Mexico’s, it’s Cuba.

I guess if you listen to lectures from statemen whose nations are crapholes, you wouldn’t go far wrong by just doing the opposite of what they recommend, no?
Why not, Rand? Heck, they are experts. No immigration problem, no illegals.
If we act more like them, we’ll soon solve our problems too…
Ok, act like them or do the opposite… which is it?
More irony.

Gnome Chomsky recently had trouble entering Israel, and denounced the government as “Stalinist.” Really, I’m not making that up. One would think Stalinist is the type of government of which he would most approve.
A commenter on another board made the choice pithy observation (paraphrasing – don’t remember it exactly): “I usually associate “Stalinist” as descriptive of governments which prevent people from leaving, rather than entering.”
So Cuba won’t let people enter, leave, or traverse its country. That’s a small price to pay for the finest health care system in the history of the universe.
Right, Chris Gerrib, Daveon, Jim, etc. ?
