We need more music videos like this one. (Probably needs high bandwidth to view.)

That has been a pet peeve of mine too. It’s not just Che of course, the left seems to fall in love with all sorts of murdering thugs as long as they express a hatred for America.
It would be a sort of a sad commentary on our modern society if this music video was actually influential in bringing some people around when all the books, and even the basic Wikipedia article, detailing his killings fails to do so.
But that being said I doubt it will change any minds. After all, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln got a lot of people killed too, but we regard them as heroes. It’s a question of which side you’re on, and whether the killer in question fought for a noble cause.
Naturally this is all a way of saying that some people are just on the other side. A music video isn’t likely to change that.
Brock,
You are right, the video won’t change (or open) any minds. The “popular” opinion of Che is that he was just a very cool community organizer.
Chris L.,
I think you miss my point. I believe that many people understand that Che was a Marxist revolutionary that killed lots of people (not a “very cool community organizer”). The reason he’s still popular is because the people he is popular with support the idea of Marxist revolutions.
Except for a few of the really ignorant kids of course. They’re just ignorant. But Robert Redford & Co. are old enough to know better. They know. And they agree.
Sorry Brock, I guess I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. I preferred to think of them as historically ignorant, rather than agreeing with what I see as evil.
