I don’t understand all the criticism. My preference would be that he spend all his time on the links. Much less damage would be done the nation were he to do so.

I was considering a campaign: Screw teabags to Congress, let’s send cigarettes to the White House. Sending golf passes would probably be a lot kinder & gentler version of the same thing.
I’d support spending federal money to build a resort–with golf, natch–for Congress and Administration officials, with a clear mandate for them to use it very, very, very frequently.

Obama could not attend the funeral in Poland, so he golfs.
There’s a time and place for everything, but also a time for not doing certain things. Playing golf on that particular day shows a certain lack of class.
I think he’s catching a lot of flack because he,
A – is doing something many people can no longer afford.
B – the Dems criticized GWB for taking WAY less time off during various “crises”, yet Barack Hussein Nero, continues to fiddle while the economy burns (down).
C – even certain members of the MslimeM are feeling bamboozled. And I’m with John Rich, this shows no class, which reflects on all of us [spelled U. S. ], including the MslimeM.
Class in one thing this president is most certainly lacking. I’d put this in the same category as when he thought it’d be swell to spend several minutes giving a shout out to Dr. Medicine Crow before deciding to make mention of the murder of 14 people down in Ft. Hood.
Can we insist that Senate and House Dems caddy, all of them, all the time (though I expect they’d %&#* that up, too)? And can we pass legislation banning air conditioning from all federal buildings, and I mean ALL federal buildings in DC? It’s the green thing to do.
I agree, more Obama time on the links would be good for the country. Can we take up a collection to buy him some new clubs?

Yeah, Bush held back on his golfing out of respect for the troops overseas. That Obama feels no such respect is telling.
I know I’m going off topic, but with the latest news of Goldman Sachs CEO visiting Obama 4 times in the White House; I wonder if Lloyd Blankfein ever had to wait in a meeting room while Obama breaked to have dinner with his family? I hope so, otherwise it will go to show just how disrespectful Obama was to a foreign ally of the US.
