  1. It’s a common MSM pattern, leaving out essential but politically embarrassing (for their side) facts. Fr’instance, this piece in the Financial Times on the Obama schools speech furor goes on at length about “overreaction”, but never mentions the we-will-be-good-little-Obamatons curriculum that Department of Education distributed to accompany the speech. Mind, now that Obama has been pressured to release the text in advance it likely will end up a harmless little stay-in-school-kids speech.

But in light of that proposed curriculum and Obama’s hard partisan record in general, it was hardly “paranoia” to assume it could have been otherwise. Van Jones is a case in point – this White House simply doesn’t see anything wrong with pushing the hard left line until publicly called on it.

The cockroaches who’ve taken over the kitchen are being spotlighted now, and they don’t like it. Shine on, brothers, shine on!

  2. Mike, daylight is free, when it’s daytime. Right now, light is scarce and precious, and more than a little vulnerable, and I’m damn grateful for what we have, and don’t take it for granted.

Next classic lefty move once the spotlighters have gotten genuinely inconvenient is to start pulling the plug on them, one way or another. They’ve begun trying already with the high-profile targets, Limbaugh Beck et al, albeit not very effectively so far. Don’t be so sure that narrow focus on the top level, and that lack of effectiveness, will last. Keep your powder dry, your laptop charged, and a good lawyer’s card in your wallet, is my advice to all. And when the lefties start realizing (soon) they really are in danger of being booted back out of office, be careful in those dark alleys and parking lots.

It can’t happen here? hah. Read your history and get over it.
