They can rebuild guard rails on dry lakes in Oklahoma, but they’re cutting money for missile defense.

No worries. “Grave threat” or not, by the end of this year, Dear Leader will have charmed the Norks’ missiles right out of their silos.
Missile defense? There’s no need, now that we can talk our way out of anything.
The guard rails are a lot cheaper per life saved.
The guard rails’ cost per life saved is infinite.
Just delete “per life saved”. The phrase is an “Obama”, defined for this comment as “has no particular meaning”.

That one rail has a better chance of saving a life than missile defense. And if we spent 1/10 of what we’ve spent on missile defense on guard rails, we’d save thousands of lives.

Horseshit.

We can afford both, but only if we spend it on guard rails where lives are actually at risk.
Funny how the Israelis think missile defense isn’t a waste of money. Of course they had the experience of Scuds falling on them during the first Gulf War. A Scud hit also was the greatest casualty generator from enemy action to U.S. forces as well.
Considering the extensive use of conventional warhead ballistic missiles as reprisal weapons in the post WWII era by both Iraq and Iran, it surprises me that no one seems to notice the same potential threat to the U.S. Should we get into a shooting situation with Iran, North Korea or China, do you really think they won’t resort to the same tactic? Ballistic missiles are more than just nuclear warhead delivery systems.
