I missed it because I was too busy traveling and attending and covering the ISDC, but I had a piece at Pajamas Media yesterday on the challenges facing Bolden, if confirmed.

Rand,
Does the list of members of the Augustine Commision, Part Deux, tip you off to where General Bolden might be leading, er, adminstering NASA?
Not really, other than there is likely to be change. If not hope…
I spoke to a NASA engineer today who complained about criticism of the NASA budget. As he put it, “Sure it costs $1 billion to launch the shuttle, but we only do it three times a year, so give me a break!”
It’s hard to know where to start if the NASA rank and file sees low flight rates as proof of fiscal discipline, rather than the source of unsustainable per-mission costs.
