“Pull its finger — er, pseudopod.”
I really need to pay more attention to titles.
Hmm. Methane production on Mars for in situ propellant production! I like it!
One can also reverse this effect and get bacteria to produce electrical power from the chemical energy in their food.
It would be interesting to have bacteria that could convert CO2 into carbohydrates, using electrical energy as the input. Let’s make food using nice safe low-environmental impact nuclear energy rather than environment- (and human life-) destroying agriculture.
Man does not live by carbohydrates alone, Paul…
But it would be an improvement.
When will the Dodge Fart reach the showroom floor?
As they would say on /., “what could possibly go wrong?”
Take one slightly effective greenhouse gas and turn it into a much more effective greenhouse gas..
