On the movie, I read an article by OSC about that a while ago. Can’t seem to re-locate it. The story involved an initial contract that left room to make Ender 16 and have a love interest. Needless to say, that would change the story a bit. OSC fought it and in the end the option died. The latest was that he was working on a movie combining Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow because it’d be a ‘buddy’ movie that Hollywood knows how to deal with, but a link I found with no attached text said the project was off.
