I guess I don’t “think outside the box” enough. I could add tee off the neighbors so they won’t come asking for a handout when they see all that sprucing up. You could give the people that hate you money just to show them how well off you are too.
Good satire. It’s just not so funny when the govt. does it.
They have a growing tent city around Sacramento I just heard on the news. The only ray of hope seems that the opposition finally seems to be willing to be conservatives in their words… Deeds may follow.
How delightful that you found our article about the financial crisis to be worth sharing. As you may know, we are not political, but we do (occasionally, anyway) know something funny when we see it. We also have a nice article about how to become an heiress, which might come in handy (lol) to your readers during these difficult times. Have fun!
That was funny. But for the joke to work you have to assume a closed financial system where improving the house doesn’t provide an external benefit. Sure, painting the house won’t help in that case (or so I learned from Bushido). But what if those people actually started growing chicken and planting in the yard? Or what if by renovating the house, they actually improved its market value enough to sell it and buy a cheaper one elsewhere?
