I don’t see why he should be ashamed… it is the editorial staff that decides how the journalists “collect” “data”, and how the data gets “crafted” into “stories” that best fit (or least damage) an editorially determined “meta-narrative”.
In short, the actual journalist gets paid to provide the raw material for propagandists.

Russian election observers coming to the U.S. to observe our election have compared the New York Times, ABC, NBC, CBS,etc to Cold War Pravda. When Dan Rather agrees with the Russians you know the MSM is screwed up.
